When and how should you talk to parents or carers if you have concerns about a child? What strategies and resources could you use when working with children’s behaviours?

Colleen Hirst is a clinical psychologist and family therapist, who has been providing clinical services in Western Sydney for over 35 years. She heads a dynamic team at Merrylands Counselling. Colleen’s warmth and relational style is complemented by her strengths-based approach to therapy. She is passionate in her clinical work to respectfully assist people uncover the strengths and hope that can become the vehicles for change.
Colleen has extensive and varied clinical experience, having worked in drug and alcohol counselling, street youth work, adolescent counselling, prison chaplaincy, crisis accommodation and homelessness, mental health, family therapy and couple counselling. Colleen enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
