This workshop will explore how children identify and deal with their emotions. It will look at how parents and carers can support children through their development of emotions, from identifying to self-regulation.

Mary Jo McVeigh is the founder and CEO of Cara House and CaraCare. Mary Jo is acknowledged in her field as an expert in child protection, trauma therapy, clinical supervision, management training, leadership coaching, facilitation, and professional self-care with over 25 years working with both the public and private sectors.
Mary Jo is a trained trauma therapist and an accredited mental health social worker with a passion for inspiring people to optimise their full potential. Mary Jo McVeigh works with children and families who have experienced child abuse, violence and trauma to tap into their own resilience to look at how they have managed to survive in the face of adversity.
